Steve Clark pummels pundits after Scotland's World Cup misfortune
Scotland administrator Steve Clarke demands he won't pay attention to the pundits who shot his group after their agonizing World Cup play-off rout against Ukraine.
Clarke's side blew their opportunity to arrive at the World Cup interestingly starting around 1998 as Ukraine won 3-1 at Hampden Park in the play-off elimination round last Wednesday.
There has been analysis focused on Clarke for his strategies and group determination, while a few players have been blamed for underachieving.
Ukraine were in the long run beaten by Wales in the play-off last and still up in the air to shut out the commotion as Scotland start their Nations League crusade at home to Armenia on Wednesday.
"They're qualified for their perspective. I don't have the foggiest idea what it (the analysis) was on the grounds that I didn't understand it, I didn't hear it, I didn't pay attention to it," Clarke told columnists on Tuesday.
"I manage games and frustrations and continue on. We've all been harming yet you need to continue on, so Armenia tomorrow, I'm centered around that."
Clarke was quick to call attention to his naysayers that Scotland were unbeaten in eight games before the Ukraine tie and furthermore qualified for last year's European Championship.
"We had a major frustration to lose to Denmark last year and we quickly returned with six successes," he said.
"We've currently lost one out of nine and everyone needs to change what worked previously - I don't know where the rationale is in that."
