The Manchester United club was in a serious crisis following the resignation of their former coach Jose Mourinho, and the team has not been the same since Mourinho left Old Trafford.

They have struggled to compete on a consistent basis in both the domestic and European leagues.

When current As Roma coach Jose Mourinho stepped down, the club was handed over to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was unable to lead the squad to the promised land as they deserved.

Even with Ronaldo's return to Old Trafford, the team was unable to compete at the same level as they had been previously.

Interim Manager Ranick was appointed to the team, however he failed to perform as well.

Robin van Persie was offered the opportunity to return to Manchester United as an assistant coach under new manager Erik ten Hag, but he declined.

Instead, Van Persie chose to stay at Feyenoord, where he is the first-team and youth set-up coach.

While conceding that Manchester United will always hold a particular place in his heart because of the love he receives from the Red Devils' fans, Van Persie believes that stability is a necessity for him and his family at this time.

"The [Manchester United] supporters hold me in high regard. After winning the league with United and Sir Alex [Ferguson], I returned a few years later with Fenerbahce. Despite this, the fans showered me with praise "Van Persie spoke to Life After Football about his career.

"Dick Advocaat, our Fenerbahce coach, recognized this. It happened to him while he was playing for Rangers in Scotland. 'You will be appreciated here [at United] for the rest of your life,' he remarked, and he was completely correct.

"England is a wonderful place to call home. The locals are welcoming and friendly. It's only a 40-minute flight from Rotterdam, yet it transports you to another universe. It's a lovely planet.

However, after a lengthy career of moving about, he believes it is now time to settle down for a bit.

"Right now, my son and daughter are the most crucial," he stated.

It's fantastic that they've both discovered their calling. A pastime is good, but you hope they find something they truly enjoy. When I was at Arsenal in London, we relocated five times. In addition to Manchester, we also resided in Istanbul.

"Overall, we were gone for nearly 14 years, but we thought, 'What's good for the kids now?' and decided that a little consistency would be excellent."
