The father of one of the two Achimota students who were first denied admission due to their dreadlocks has expressed his displeasure with his son's supposed arrogance.
Mr. Tereo Marghuy claims that his kid has always been rude, even before the Achimota school incident.
"[Tyron] was so arrogant that I wasn't even willing to accompany him anyplace," he said, recalling a recent attack on him by his son. "I went to the court with him and defended him solely for the sake of humanity, for the sake of Rasta, if it hadn't been for this youngster, I wouldn't have gone."
Mr. Marghuy said Tyron stabbed him in the hand in the amateur video. He stated that this was not the first time Tyron had acted in this manner against him.
Tyron's mother, he claimed, has been fuelling his son's attitude.
"This is what Tyron did to my hands; he ruined his sister's tablet, which they were scheduled to send to the repairer this morning," he bemoaned.
"The sister came to inform me they were taking the laptop to the repairer..., I went to visit them in the room and she said Tyron is not ready," Mr. Marghuy said.
"To make a long story short, they got into a disagreement, and when I went back to inquire why, he just disconnected the laptop and walked right over me." And he's been doing it for years, and his mother doesn't seem to mind."
"She even questioned me once why I don't want anyone in this house to be at peace. She gives me bull....t when my son does anything wrong and I inform him," he continued.
"This is the third time something like this has happened because he walked over me and I rushed at him, wanting to slap him because he does it every time, and he gripped my hand, so hard, I'm not sure if he had something or whatever with him, but he gripped my hand, so hard, I don't know if he had something or whatever with him, but he gripped my hand, so hard, I don't know.
Tyron and a fellow student, both Rastafarians, were denied admission to the Achimota school a year ago because of their dreadlocks.
A part of the public reacted angrily to the Achimota School's decision, believing it to be an infringement on the boys' rights.
Following that, the children' families took the school and its officials to court, where they finally won. The lads were able to enroll at the school as a result of this.
