Socrates is one of football's most known and renowned figures, despite never winning a major award throughout his career. He only played a few seasons of football but is recognized as one of the finest players of all time. He came within a whisker of winning the World Cup with Brazil in 1982, but lost to eventual champions Italy. He never won the Copa America due to a brief club career that was mostly spent in Serie A with ACF Fiorentina.
