Manchester City, who have won the Premier League four times in the last five seasons, are unquestionably the side to beat in the country.

The club has had basically the same team for the past five seasons, with several of the players appearing in and contributing to all four English top-flight victories since the first title in the 2017/18 season, thanks to Catalan manager Pep Guardiola's teaching and development.

The majority of this Manchester City group appears to be happy at the club, which is why there are few rumors about players leaving during the upcoming summer transfer window. One name, though, is still being linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium in the coming days and weeks.

Gabriel Jesus, a Brazil international forward, is attracting interest from a number of top European clubs as the summer transfer window approaches, with Premier League giants Arsenal and Serie A heavyweights Juventus being suggested as possible destinations for the forward.

However, according to a new report from Goal published this week, Chelsea, the now-former European champions, and Manchester City's Premier League rivals have joined the race to sign the Brazilian striker.

The London club is said to have selected Manchester City's versatile number nine as a possible successor for Romelu Lukaku, who is poised to leave Stamford Bridge after a largely dismal season following a move to the club last summer.

Chelsea's Belgian international striker hopes to quit the club after a record-breaking £98 million deal from Inter Milan in Serie A.

Gabriel Jesus has had a more than good season for Manchester City, scoring goals and assisting in appearances despite playing the majority of his minutes on the wing last season.

However, Manchester City's signing of superstar Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has only raised doubts about Jesus' future at the club, and the arrival of the Norwegian international will almost certainly be the final push that sees the four-time Premier League winner depart Manchester in the near future.
