Kane, Ronaldo, Zlatan: Who're Europe's greatest international goalscorers?
GiveMeSport15h
Harry Kane is now England’s second greatest goalscorer outright.
On Tuesday evening, the Tottenham Hotspur striker converted from the penalty spot late on to salvage a 1-1 draw for England against Germany in the UEFA Nations League.
Kane has now racked up 50 goals on international duty, which is one more than Sir Bobby Charlton managed.
It’s now only a matter of time before Kane overtakes Wayne Rooney and becomes England’s all-time leading scorer, especially given he’s still just 28 years of age.
For the Three Lions’ current captain, it’s now a question of how far up the international goalscoring charts he can move.
In terms of European players, Kane is on the verge of breaking into the top 20 and has already leapfrogged the legendary Robin van Persie, as he’s bagged a half century of goals in 32 fewer games than the Dutchman.
