Sangare, who had another outstanding season with PSV, is said to be on the radar of the two English giants, with Aston Villa, Leicester City, and Newcastle United all connected with a move for the Ivory Coast international.
Sangare might be a bargain for several Premier League clubs, with a rumored release clause of €40 million (£34 million). Though the arrival of the Ivorian raises a huge question: how will that side line up, depending on who he signs for?
Here, we'll look at what Sangare's arrival will mean for the five Premier League clubs interested in the PSV midfielder if one of them wins the race, as well as the impact the 24-year-old will have in the starting lineup for these clubs across the division.
Note that the XIs do not take other transfer rumors into account and will only include players who are currently at the clubs indicated.
Villa Aston
Aston Villa are now arguably the team with the smallest chance of landing Sangare among the Premier League clubs interested in him, thanks to their recent acquisition of Boubacar Kamara, a midfielder who many of the clubs on this list were also interested in.
Nonetheless, Villa's owners and Steven Gerrard are an ambitious pair, and signing Sangare above Chelsea and Manchester United would be another another significant statement of purpose from the Villains, with the midfielder adding even more amazing defensive quality to the club.
Chelsea
Under the new ownership of American Todd Boehly, exciting times are afoot at Chelsea, and if rumors are to be believed, Sangare is a priority target for the west London club as they look to bolster their midfield options.
With N'Golo Kante having his most difficult season in the Premier League to date, the PSV dynamo might be a viable successor for the Frenchman in the Chelsea XI for years to come,It's possible that the Blues' midfield will change, reverting to the more familiar setup we've seen under Thomas Tuchel.
Leicester City is a football club based in Leicester
Sangare is wanted by Manchester United.
The Foxes' technique of selling players for huge money to replenish the team has proven to be a winning formula that has made Brendan Rodgers' side one of the most interesting in the league. Sangare may be an excellent match.
The loss of Youri Tielemans and the potential departure of Boubakary Soumare allows Sangare to slide right into the Leicester midfield, and if Wilfred Ndidi can return to full fitness,
For next season, the Foxes could have one of the best pivots in the Premier League.
Manchester United is a football club based in England
Manchester United would be the first team to come to mind if there was a Premier League side in desperate need of a quality central midfielder, so it's no surprise that the Red Devils are one of the top runners for Sangare.
Furthermore, as his first move as United manager, Erik Ten Hag is said to be anxious to upgrade the midfield, and Sangare would be an excellent place to start, as the Ivorian would provide much-needed defensive quality and general balance to a position where the Manchester giants are severely lacking.
Newcastle United is a football club based in Newcastle
Newcastle United, like Chelsea, is preparing for an exciting new era under the PIF regime, and midfield additions are high on Eddie Howe's priority list, with Sangare allegedly a target for the northeast giants.
Following the success of Bruno Guimaraes, Newcastle may require another midfielder with a Ligue 1 education, and given that what the Magpies lack most in the position is a true defensive and box-to-box player, Sangare fits the criteria nicely.
