Madam Otiko Djaba, a former Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, has made a denial of statements ascribed to her by Mr. Elikem Kotoko, a National Democratic Congress (NDC) activist.

Madam Otiko Djaba stated on her official Facebook page timeline that she never made any voice or text declaration to such effect. "As a former NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Bole Bamboi, a political activist and communicator, two-term NPP National Organiser, and former Minister of Gender, Children, and Social Protection, I would never adhere to such a position," she said.
Such a disgusting and wicked post, according to Madam Otiko Afisah Djaba, can only be a fiction from Mr. Elikem Kotoko's head.
She also deleted a Facebook account that had been made in her name, indicating that it was a fraudulent account.
Madam Otiko Afisah Djaba has advised the people to treat the post and account with the disrespect they deserve. Mr. Elikem Kotoko has been given an ultimatum by Madam Otiko to remove the abovementioned character assassination post and follow it up with an unequivocal apology to her on his Facebook page.
Madam Otiko Djaba further ordered that her request be fulfilled within 12 hours of her communication to Elikem Kotoko, or she will pursue legal action against him.
She finished by urging the general public to disregard Mr. Elikem Kotokoli's malicious, vexatious, viperous, and purposeful disinformation publication, since it was never produced by her and does not reflect her views.
Former Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection Madam Otiko Djaba's remarks on former President John Dramani Mahama have always been a source of controversy.
When she was selected as the Minister-designate for Gender, Children and Social Protection in 2017, Madam Otiko Djaba informed Parliament's vetting committee that she owed no apology to former President John Mahama for some highly harsh statements she made about him on political forums.
Otiko Djaba told members of Parliament's Appointments Committee, some of whom have criticized her campaign rhetoric, that she chastised the former Ghanaian president because they both come from the same region and she has the right to question his behavior.
"The President is my brother, and I spoke with conviction," she added.
Madam Afisa Djaba has made a number of disparaging remarks regarding former President Mahama in the run-up to the 2016 general elections.
President John Dramani Mahama, she once observed, "has the devil's heart."
She characterized John Mahama as someone who did not have the country's best interests at heart.
"He (John Mahama) is aggressive," Otiko warned some NPP supporters in Afram Plains in 2016. He urged some NDC youngsters to throw stones at Nana Akufo-residence Addo's lately."
When she came before Parliament's Appointments Committee, members of the Minority side recounted these remarks one by one and requested an apology from the nominee.
Madam Afisa Djaba, when asked if she would like to recant her remarks on Mr Mahama, replied she would not.
"I owe former President John Mahama no apology," she declared.
She claims that the former Ghanaian leader is her brother, and that everything she has said about him has been done with good intentions.
