Aberdeen's Calvin Ramsay during the opening leg of the UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying round at Pittodrie Stadium in Aberdeen. The film will be released on Thursday, July 22, 2021.

While all eyes are on Darwin Nunez's prospective club-record transfer to Liverpool, Calvin Ramsay is already "near to completion.

The Reds are expected to have a busy summer in the transfer market, with Fabio Carvalho already signed and at least two more signings in the works.

Sadio Mane is expected to join Bayern Munich this summer, and the club has chosen 22-year-old Benfica attacker Nunez as his potential successor.

Meanwhile, talks about a deal for Aberdeen right-back Ramsay, who is expected to join Liverpool for roughly £4 million, are progressing.

Ramsay, 18, shined as Aberdeen's first-choice right-back this season, scoring one goal and providing nine assists in 33 appearances, prompting interest from Leeds, Bologna, and Sassuolo.

Leeds, on the other hand, sanctioned the £10 million transfer of Rasmus Kristensen from Red Bull Salzburg, despite his preference for Liverpool.

Liverpool's pursuit of Ramsay is now said to be "near to conclusion," according to the Mirror's David Maddock, who was among the journalists on Merseyside to cover the news.

The transaction is expected to go through "in the next few days," according to Goal's Neil Jones, with the Mail's Dominic King reporting that the adolescent "is in line to complete a medical at some stage in the coming days."

Ramsay's arrival will have an impact on the rest of the squad, with Fulham and other clubs circling for Neco Williams, who is poised to leave on a permanent deal worth between £10 million and £15 million.

Conor Bradley, a Northern Ireland international, might also go on loan, with his chances of making the first team diminished after five appearances in 2021-22.

The possibility of Darwin Nuez moving to Liverpool has risen dramatically in the last 24 hours.

It all started when Record reported that the Reds were asking €100 million for the striker, with following revelations revealing that the fee was €80 million up front with an additional €20 million in bonuses.

That wasn't immediately accepted, and there is still some negotiation to be done, but despite reports of competition from Manchester United and Newcastle United, the prevailing assumption is that he will join Liverpool.

The most recent update on the situation comes from Uruguayan writer Sebastián Giovanelli, who turned to Twitter to support allegations that Liverpool has 'increased the offer again' for Nuez.

The sums aren't disclosed, but it's evident that both the striker and the man assisting him in his move to the Premier League, Jorge Mendes, will 'determine the footballer's fate in these hours.

Both Manchester United and Newcastle 'continue to bid,' according to Giovanelli, albeit without Champions League football, you'd think they'd be a little further down Nuez's list.

Record even stated on Wednesday that the forward was eager to transfer to Anfield after being charmed by the atmosphere there during last season's European campaign when the two clubs met.

Manchester United and Newcastle United, on the other hand, might be able to offer him a higher salary. We'll have to wait and see what happens.
