Wayne Mark Rooney is an English football manager and a former Manchester United player. He played forward for the majority of his career, but he also played in several midfield positions.

When Portugal and England met on the international stage at the 2006 World Cup, it was the first time they had met. After Rooney was sent out for an apparent stamp on defender Ricardo Carvalho, he clashed with Ronaldo.

As he recently reacted to Portugal's progress in the UEFA Nations League campaign, Rooney's sending off had made him loathe Ronaldo and Portugal.

Wayne Rooney (Wayne Rooney): "The Nations League, I believe, has worn the big nations down. They are clearly denouncing their terrible performances in silence. After a lengthy season in their respective leagues, they require recuperation.

Only Portugal appears to be taking this seriously. The World Cup champions are all against it. Except for the countries who do not have any Trophies, such as the Netherlands and Portugal. I realize that because they have never won a major trophy such as the World Cup, they regard the Nations League as a significant competition.

Despite Cristiano's friendship with Rooney at Manchester United, Ronaldo and Portugal have become one of Rooney's adversaries.

Marcus Rashford of Manchester United had been linked with a move away from the club due to a lack of consistent playing time.

The England international's form has deteriorated rapidly, causing him to tumble down the Manchester United pecking order. Rashford was recently linked with a move to Tottenham, as CaughtOffside exclusively reported.

Rashford, though, has turned out a move to the North London club, according to The Times, preferring to stay and battle for his spot under the new boss.

Manchester United drew 1-1 with Leicester City thanks to Marcus Rashford's 10 goals.

With the recent appointment of Erik ten Hag as Manchester United's new manager, players like Rashford may be given the chance to restart their careers. The 24-year-career old's hasn't gone as planned in recent years, but he showed a lot of promise when he first appeared on the scene as a youngster.

There's no reason Rashford can't prove himself in preseason and compete for a regular starting berth in Manchester United's lineup, especially under a new manager. With the World Cup approaching and Rashford having been left out of the latest England team, there's little doubt he'll be seeking to play regular games in order to give himself a chance to fly to Qatar in November.
