Jorge Mendes, a superagent, met with Barcelona executives.

The following is a summary of what was discussed at the meeting.

1. Nico is for sale

Mendes is said to want his client to play for Wolverhampton Wanderers next season.

"Barca do not want to sell Nico, despite interest," the Portuguese agent said after the meeting to the press.

2. A deal with Soler

According to Cadena SER, the two parties discussed a possible swap agreement to send Carlos Soler to Barcelona.

It is possible to include one Barca player in the deal, but it has been reported that the Blaugrana are no longer interested in Soler's services.

3. Exit Lenglet

According to Gerard Romero, Mendes has alerted Barcelona that Porto is interested in signing the centre-back.

Barca's stance on the offer is unknown at this time; it is most likely a loan offer.

4. Other participants

After the negotiations, Mendes commented, "The meeting was great, several players were mentioned."

The 56-year-old represents Angel di Maria, Bernardo Silva, and Francisco Trincao, therefore we wouldn't be surprised if these players were addressed at the meeting.

Ehe Barça president spoke before the club's Senate to share his perspective on the present situation in Barcelona. Prior to the act, the president gave a speech in which he emphasized the importance of the members' approval of the economic measures that he will submit to the Assembly next week.

"On June 16, we'll have an assembly to ratify a set of steps aimed at improving the club's financial status. It is critical to raise the team's competitive level. When we arrived, we discovered ourselves in a precarious financial condition. We are unable to pay that month's payroll. We also had a sword of Damocles hanging over our heads because we didn't meet the credits and they threatened to fire us.

Wishes

"We want a strong Bara that can compete with state teams or other clubs with billionaire owners that invest money that isn't generated by football." After a year, Bara is still going strong, and I can promise you that the entity is still alive. Bara has tremendous financial clout, allowing us to keep our governance approach in place. It will give us economic piece of mind if they allow us to use these two levers."

there are two options

"There are two levers that are more important than the others. After three years of losses, we must provide benefits. We'll put ourselves in the hands of partners who will help us expand, and we'll always be able to turn back because buyback alternatives will be available. We want to get the club's situation under control as soon as possible.

Solutions

"We are exploring for answers by restructuring debt, decreasing significant pay mass, but not enough, and looking for sponsors... We went from near death to the intensive care unit. Any company's remedy would be to dissolve or change hands, which will not happen." The partners will always be the owners with me. We didn't want a capital rise or a spillover. We won't do it because the partners aren't to blame for the current scenario. And by ruling it out, the levers are thrown into action."

the controls

"We have these possibilities to refloat the club's predicament." We will ask them to allow us to launch a variety of procedures to correct the economic crisis sooner than expected next Thursday. We'll be there.
