If I contribute to the National Cathedral Project, you can call me a monkey.

Prophet Nicholas Osei, the founder and head of Heaven's Gate Ministry, has chastised the government for its stance on the National Cathedral project, despite the fact that many crucial concerns remain unaddressed.

Prophet Osei, also known as Kumchacha, stated that the money being spent on the cathedral project might be utilized to repair the country's roads.

Kumchacha, appearing on Onua TV, claimed that the Church leaders who support the government's decision to proceed with the project are profiting from it, and that he will not pay a dime to it.

"... every week, at least 10 people die in accidents on the Accra-Kumasi road." This road can be extended and street lights installed.  fixed in order to reduce the number of accidents Why isn't the government allocating the funds for the Cathedral to the repair of our roads?

"The pastors who are backing the government with the National Cathedral are well-off; they receive a portion of the project's funding for themselves, and if other pastors object, they become irritated with us."

"...when the Cathedral is finished, the persons in charge of it will have built more than four houses for themselves; the majority of the pastors participating in the project are criminals." So, Kumchacha, neither my GH 1 nor GH 2 will be used in this project. "Call me a Monkey if I donate a dime to the cause," he remarked in Twi.

He went on to say that Ghana's development is being hampered not by prayer, but by the country's high level of corruption and the plundering of national assets.

In the meantime, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has stated that the National Cathedral is Ghana's development's missing link. He considers the initiative to be as vital as any other development effort in the country.
