The vice president of the Republic of Ghana, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on the 9th of June 2022 encourages all Ghanaians to once again participate in this year’s GREEN GHANA DAY course to make the country more green. Plant a tree this Friday 10th June 2022, to make Ghana greener.

Green Ghana let’s go planting
The target of the Green Ghana day 2022 is to plant at least 20 million trees on the Green Ghana day which is slated for Friday, June 10th, 2022.
The Green Ghana initiative seeks to;
• Create enhanced national awareness of the necessity for collective action towards the restoration of degraded landscapes in the country.
• Inculcate in youth the value of planting and nurturing trees and their associated benefits.
• Mitigate watersheds.
• Enhance livelihoods towards communities through engagement in the production of tree seedlings.
• Beautify our communities and environment
