Jack Wilshere has pushed Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to sign Gabriel Jesus.

The future of Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus is still up in the air, as Arsenal fan favorite Jack Wilshere has urged his former captain to sign the Brazilian striker.

Arsenal "will be queuing up" according to the Englishman, who spoke to TalkSPORT (for Jesus). Because of his bond with his management, I believe Arsenal will have a good chance of signing him. I believe Newcastle would be interested in signing him, but I would prefer to see him at Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta is hopeful that the former Hale End grad is correct. The Spaniard spent three years on Manchester's blue side, and players frequently remarked on how the man from San Sebastian had a keen eye for detail, vastly strengthening the attacking players.

Guardiola "trusted him here and he had a lot of effect on the players here and the squad as well," Raheem Sterling said in the past of the Gunners coach' influence on the players.

Those on the Emirates board will want to utilize the last vestiges of their power to get a deal for Jesus done, with Spurs and Chelsea rumored to be circling the transaction like vultures.

At the end of the season, the Brazilian was in good form, contributing 25 goals across all competitions at a rate of one goal per 102 minutes. As Arsenal prepares to take the next step in their strategy, ensuring Champions League participation, a deal for the Brazilian international appears to be becoming increasingly important.

Barcelona will have to work hard to persuade Gavi to sign a new long-term contract. The Catalan club has been in talks with the adolescent player for several months, but no deal has been reached.

After breaking through this past season, the 17-year-old midfielder has established himself as an important member of Xavi Hernandez's first-team squad. Gavi is a frequent member of Spain's national team, and in a recent match against the Czech Republic, he became the squad's youngest goal scorer.

Gavi's contract expires in a year, and Barcelona is eager to sign him to a new long-term contract. The Catalan giants finally made an offer recently after months of negotiations, but it was refused.

According to FCB World, Barcelona offered Gavi a two-year deal worth €2 million per season, which the player turned down outright. He wants a four-year contract that pays him €4 million in the first season and then increases by €1 million each season.

Gavi, a young midfielder, has been a rare bright spot for Barcelona this season.

It's unclear whether Barcelona will agree to the teen's demands, especially given the club's financial difficulties. The Catalan club's president, Joan Laporta, has stated that the club will not bend over backwards to meet the players' demands, but they do not want to lose Gavi.

Gavi wants to stay in Barcelona and work with Xavi, but it won't be easy.
