A professional footballer's ability to refuse the different possibilities that present themselves during the course of their career is impossible. There are people who will put them on the front pages of celebrity magazines, and then there are those who will send them elsewhere to play, and it isn't necessarily for the love of the shirt.

This top five list features players who have never been hesitant to swap teams during their career.

12 Clubs - Christian Vieri

Cristian Vieri was a brilliant center forward with exceptional offensive skills such as positioning, finishing, and a keen sense of when to strike the opponent as a forward.

Clubs were often willing to pay a big number of money in order to obtain an Italian. Vieri scored eight goals in 23 appearances for Juventus. As a result, word of his transfer to Atletico Madrid spread quickly. A scored 24 goals in 24 games while playing for Atletico Madrid (league).

According to the league's official website, Christian Vieri is one of the most decorated attackers in Italian history. He is one of the rare players who have won the Pichichi with both Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan.

Marcus Bent has 14 clubs on his resume.

When Wigan's striker scored three goals against Blackburn in the 2007-08 season, it was the first occasion a player from both sides scored a hat-trick in the Premier League. During his career, Bent played for 13 different clubs in England and one in Indonesia, with his three-year stint with his first club being the longest of any of them.

Bent came out of retirement in 2017 to play for Wick, a non-league team, but he didn't play well.

15 Clubs Rivaldo

Though most people remember him with FC Barcelona, where he spent five seasons and won the Ballon d'Or in 2002, the Brazilian is one of only three players in history to have played for teams on four continents and in as many confederations (UEFA, CONMEBOL, CAF and AFC).

While he is being welcomed by a total of 15 clubs, one is from Uzbekistan and the other is from Angola.

15 Clubs Luca Toni

The Italian striker, who stands 1.93 meters tall, has had a long and fruitful career. In Palermo, he scored 31 goals in the 2004-2005 season. After that, he went to Fiorentina, where he scored 71 goals in two seasons while also earning the Viola 15 penalty points for match-fixing.

For three seasons with Bayern Munich, he was partnered offensively by Miroslav Klose. Luca Toni has spent his career with 15 different clubs, including 13 in Italy.

John Burridge has a total of 29 clubs.

The 70-year-old English Football League goalie has made the most appearances (18) of any goalkeeper in league history (the erstwhile English top tier before the introduction of the Premier League) Burridge, an ex-Blackpool and Sheffield United midfielder, has discussed his unique experience of playing for multiple clubs.

Any of the other players on this list are unlikely to reach or even surpass Burridge's record of playing for as many clubs as the Englishman.
