Prosper Narteh Ogum, the head coach of Asante Kotoko, has revealed that leading the Reds is a dream come true for him.
Prosper Ogum has been named the head coach of the Porcupine Warriors for a two-year contract after a stellar performance at the West African Football Academy [WAFA].
In his first season with Kotoko, Ogum guided the club to the Ghana Premier League title in 2021/22.
Speaking about his accomplishments with the club, Ogum stated that guiding the Porcupine Warriors has always been a dream of his.
"Coaching Asante Kotoko was a long-time dream of mine when I was lecturing at UCC," he told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.
Asante Kotoko will be proclaimed season winners after their matchday 33 match against demoted Elmina Sharks at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
In other news, foreign clubs have made offers for Yaw Annor, according to AshantiGold SC.
The industrious forward has been a livewire for the Miners in the ongoing 2021/22 Ghana Premier League campaign.
Annor has scored 20 goals for the Obuasi-based side so far.
Asante Kotoko, Medeama SC, and Hearts of Oak have all made offers to sign the forward.However, Daniel Bioh, Ashgold's administrative manager, has claimed that overseas clubs have made an approach to sign the forward.
"No Ghanaian team has officially written to Ashantigold for Yaw Annor's services," he told Akoma FM in Kumasi.
"At the moment, we have only received concrete bids on him from overseas teams," he confirmed, "and we will make a decision on his future later."
After being found guilty of match tampering in their 7:0 victory over Inter Allies last season, AshantiGold was demoted to Division Two, but they have filed an official appeal.
