Russia's foreign minister says Moscow is open for direct discussions on Ukraine even as some EU government officials go against the thought
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said that Moscow stays open to coordinate discussions with the West, yet "both parties deserve equal credit here."
The minister was asked by a RT reporter on Friday about late remarks made by Polish President Andrzej Duda, in which he reprimanded France and Germany for proceeding to direct calls with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Duda found out if anybody talked "like this with Adolf Hitler during World War Two."
While talking about the prohibition of any exchange with Russia, "our Polish associates start to an effectively foster Ukrainian area," Lavrov noted.
The foreign minister made sense of that in the past he had heard "different responses from Paris and Berlin."
"[Former] German Chancellor Merkel and French President Macron voiced intense disillusionment with the EU's Russophobes, who had obstructed a drive by France and Germany to direct a highest point between the EU and Russian President Putin," Lavrov answered.
