THE NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (NDC) 30TH ANNIVERSARY DAY STATEMENT BY HON. ABED BANDIM (MP) FOR BUNKPURUGU CONSTITUENCY
____________________________________
Congratulations to our great party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) -- a party of Unity, Stability & Development. The NDC was born on 10th June, 1992, after devowing all skeptics to install the most stable, democratic & tenacious 4th Republican Era which has for the past three decades sustained the peace, the development and growth of our country.
Yes, indeed, the NDC at 30 presents a time for deeper and sobber reflection on the successes chalked, the challenges faced, the experiences gained and the way forward as we transition into the next 30-year life cycle of the party by critically examining the existential issues at the constituencies, regional, national and even at the global level that threatens our survival as a party and as a nation in order to fashion out strategies and a work plan to mitigate same on the tenets of good governance as we have clearly demonstrated over the past 30yrs whenever Ghanaians gave us the opportunity to steer the affairs of this country.
In fact, let me use this occasion to celebrate and congratulate our founding fathers for the vision of the party. Not forgetting our current party leadership at various levels especially the very hardworking & dedicated members -- the men and the women holding the forte and the frontiers of the NDC party in my constituency.
Together, we can always deliver the much needed victory; the object of which should be to advance the cause of our common existence as a party and to bring social and economic development to our people in the Bunkpurugu/Nakpanduri Constituency.
Therefore, as we continue to defend and fight for our common interest as party, it must be said that the party demonstrated unity in the last general elections in the constituency. So I will always encourage the party to continue to walk on the path of unity. We must keep our focus in ensuing elections in the next 30-year life cycle of the NDC, especially in the upcoming 2024 elections which will very much determine the future of our great party and country as whole; following the disastrous management of our national affairs by the NPP under the Nana Addo/Bawumia government. No stone must be left unturned in our quest to secure victory for the NDC in 2024, both in the parliamentary and presidential elections. It's always possible together!
Hon. Abed Bandim (MP)
