Hubtel, a prominent supplier of rapid commerce, messaging, and payment services, has announced its expansion into Koforidua, Ghana's Eastern Region.

Hubtel is expanding the speed and convenience with which shops may communicate with customers in today's fast-paced digital economy to many more corners of the country.

This news expands the company's footprint in Ghana, as Koforidua becomes the company's sixth operating city, joining Accra, Kumasi, Cape Coast, Takoradi, and Tema.

The announcement was made during a float-style activation across Koforidua, providing people a vivid preview of what they may expect from Hubtel.  Residents of the city were given hands-on experience with the Hubtel app, including help installing it and unlocking special day discounts.

"The stores in Koforidua gave us a warm welcome when we contacted them to sell to their clients through Hubtel," Hubtel's Head of Commercial and New Market, Gershon Akoto, said in an interview with Bryt FM's Isaac Batsa during the activation.

"In Koforidua, more and more businesses are joining Hubtel to exhibit their products on the Hubtel App and website."

"The inhabitants of Koforidua have also expressed a strong desire to join up for the Hubtel App. Through the float, we were able to interact with almost 1,400 people today. Students, workers, and the general population of Koforidua are all affected. He went on to say, "They're glad that they can search and buy groceries, food, electricals, and everything else, as well as pay or collect payments from an endless number of connections."

Hubtel's mobile app has evolved into a valuable companion for mobile users in recent years, assisting inhabitants in Hubtel's operational cities in locating and purchasing needed commodities and services from local stores and providers.

The Bank of Ghana granted the IT firm a full license to operate as a Payment Services Provider (Improved) earlier this year, allowing it to offer enhanced payment services and creative solutions to the general public.

'For us at Hubtel, our fundamental focus is to make retailer-customer connection simple and uncomplicated for both sides,' said Alex Bram, Chief Executive Officer of Hubtel, in response to the commencement of Hubtel operations in Koforidua. The burgeoning digital economy, particularly in Ghana, motivates us to keep inventing and expanding our horizons.
