Cape Town All Stars guaranteed an amazing 2-1 win over Swallows FC in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) special/assignment season finisher match at Danie Craven Stadium on Saturday evening.

The success saw Igugu Lekapa end their ineffective end of the season games crusade with a triumph as they dug out from a deficit to overcome the Soweto monsters with Ronaldo Maarman and Ndiviwe Mdabuka scoring for the hosts.

Regardless of the loss, Amaswaiswai's desires of holding their status in the South African first class are as yet alive, having neglected to clutch their lead in the wake of scoring through Grant Margeman against All Stars.

Swallows stayed second on the end of the season games standings - one point behind pioneers, the University of Pretoria with the two groups set to meet in Tshwane on Wednesday. The victor of this last match will book their spot in the world class association for the 2022-23 season.

Despite the fact that Igugu Lekapa compromised first through Thabo Makhele, who neglected to stir things up around town from short proximity with a header which flew directly over the crossbar, it was Amaswaiswai who made the better possibilities.

Goalkeeper Kyle Peters needed to create an impressive fingertip save to deny Lehlogonolo Matlou. The All Stars shot-plug then, at that point, pulled off an incredible plunging save - hindering a left-footed shot from Dillon Solomons as the guests hoped to break the gridlock.

Peters was the more occupied of the two keepers as the previous Bidvest Wits player made one more save with the halftime break drawing closer and this time he was denying Kagiso Malinga whose header was hindered by the shot-plug to guarantee that the primary half finished goalless.

Swallows proceeded where they had left off in the primary half as they heaped tension on All Stars. In any case, Peters stayed a major hindrance for the guests, with the cumbersome keeper pulling fine saves to deny Kamohelo Mahlatsi and Monnapule Saleng.

Igugu Lekapa did undermine after they were granted a free-kick in Amaswaiswai's half, with Lesvin Stoffels constraining keeper Jody February into a splendid save. The gridlock was at last broken in the 63rd moment when Margeman discharged past Peters with a low lengthy reach shot to make it 1-0 to Swallows.

The All Stars specialized group then presented Maarman, who proceeded to have an effect as the 22-year-old forward beat February with a scratching long-range shot to make it 1-1 in the 88th moment following an error by Wandisile Letlabika, who had offered ownership in his own half.

It was then start to finish stuff, with Mbulelo Wambi being phenomenally denied by Peters. The hosts were granted a punishment at the opposite end in stoppage time after Letlabika had dealt with the ball in the guests' case and Mdabuka beat February from the spot-kick to seal All Stars' 2-1 win.
