WHAT J.J. RAWLINGS SAID ABOUT PAUL ADOM-OTCHERE IN 2020

He is a tough and uncompromising supporter of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government, according to his own words, and will go to any extent to utilize his platform to defend the government's interests and image.

 

Paul Adom-unfettered Otchere's diatribe on his program, titled editorial, has enraged a number of individuals, the most recent of which is Togbe Afede, the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli state.

Rawlings was not a fan of Adom-opinion-based Otchere's journalism, as he publicly chastised him for spouting rubbish.  Jerry John Rawlings, speaking at a durbar to commemorate the 38th anniversary of the December 31st coup d'etat, scolded Paul Adom-Otchere, the host of Good Evening Ghana, stating he routinely spews gibberish on his television show.

 

"Every day, that young child named Adom-Otchere or whatever gets up to spout rubbish," he continued.

 

 

 

"During the Acheampong era, the financial sector, notably the Ghana Commercial Bank, was plunged into unthinkable corruption," Mr Rawlings said, describing the events that led to the 1981 coup.

 

 

 

"The bank operated as a conduit for cronies and a certain ethnic group to eat fat on loans without collateral," he continued. These debts, however, were never repaid."
