Barcelona is preparing for a team restructure, which could imply that certain players' current positions could change significantly.

We've compiled a list of players who appear to be desperate to impress Xavi this summer.

Frenkie de Jong is number one.

If the Dutchman is not sold before July, he may fight tooth and nail to stay at Barcelona beyond this season.

Xavi may put Frenkie in his 'ideal' role, the one that favors him the most in the national team, during the pre-season.

Sergino Dest is number two on the list.

Despite the leave rumors, the wing-back is desperate to impress Xavi, according to Achraf Ben Ayad.

Dest's relationship with Barca manager is described as'special,' according to the source, and the 21-year-old might become a regular starter if he stays at the club.

Sergi Roberto is number three.

Sergi is well aware that next season may be his final chance to shine in Blaugrana colors.

Before taking a step ahead in the pre-season, the 30-year-old is now working hard to get in condition.

Ez Abde is number four.

Following the departure of Ousmane Dembele, the 20-year-old winger could play a bigger role at Barcelona.

This season, the Moroccan was on fire with Barca B, and he will undoubtedly be offered chances in July.

Martin Braithwaite is number five on the list.

The Dane has no plans to leave the club; his contract runs out in 2024, and he intends to finish it.

At the same time, he has no intention of sitting in the stands and doing nothing. He has stated on several occasions that he feels he will eventually acquire Xavi's trust.

Francisco Trincao, No. 6

The Portuguese's transfer to Sporting Lisbon isn't finalized yet; if it doesn't, Xavi is expected to have the player at his disposal in July.

Given the scarcity of right wingers, Trincao may be one to watch this summer.

Pablo Torre, No. 7

This year, Pablo Torre's X-hour is the preseason. If he impresses Xavi and his coaching staff, he will almost certainly continue his development in the first team; if not, a season or two at Barcelona B will be his next step.

It will be interesting to see what the 19-year-old has to offer after contributing 21 goals in 34 outings for Racing Santander this season.
