Erling Haaland scored twice for Norway as they beat Sweden 3-2

Haaland now has 20 international goals in 21 games ahead of his Man City transfer

Haaland now has an incredible 20 goals in just 21 international appearances.

And Pep Guardiola will be praying Haaland can bring that fine form to the Etihad when his move is officially completed.

City have agreed a £51m deal to sign Haaland from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

He scored 86 goals in 89 games for the Germans.
And Haaland has taken that excellent form to his national side as well.

He had already netted twice against Sweden this month, and also bagged the winning goal against Serbia.

But Haaland ensured he ended his Nations League campaign on a high with a fresh brace to sink the Swedes once more.

Haaland’s first goal was a fine header after just 10 minutes.

And he completed his double with a second-half penalty before Alexander Sorloth’s effort wrapped up the win late on.

Haaland is set for a new strike partner at City this summer, with Argentina international Julian Alvarez signed from River Plate.

But Haaland is unlikely to play alongside Brazil ace Gabriel Jesus, who wants to quit the Etihad.

And he has been warned by new teammate Kevin De Bruyne that he must justify the transfer by bagging at least 25 goals for City.

De Bruyne said: “Everybody expects a lot. They’ve always been looking for a No9.

“But I think it’ll be good to have that striker that maybe scores 20-25 goals a season.

“Maybe (it might help me too). There have been years that I have more assists.

“But my chance creation and other things have remained consistent. Numbers are a part of football but they never tell you the full story.”
