Chelsea is "very much" interested in signing Premier League star
Chelsea are reportedly very interested in signing Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling this summer.
After a disappointing season in which they lost both domestic cup finals and failed to mount a serious title challenge, the Blues could benefit from making changes up front.
Much of that was due to a lack of goals in their lineup, with last summer's big signing Romelu Lukaku proving to be a flop, while Timo Werner, Christian Pulisic, and Hakim Ziyech also failed to make an impact.
If Sterling becomes available, he would undoubtedly be a valuable addition to Thomas Tuchel's squad on the England international’s future, as per reporter Graeme Bailey on a podcast with Simon Phillips
This appears to be good news for Chelsea, and Sterling may be enticed by the prospect of moving to Stamford Bridge.
The former Liverpool man grew up in London, and he has recently been less certain of a starting spot in Pep Guardiola's side.
Sterling is favored to replace Pulisic.
Tony Cascarino believes Raheem Sterling, who is valued at €50-€70 million (£43-£60 million) by CIES Football Observatory, will replace Christian Pulisic if he joins Chelsea this summer.
Cascarino told talkSPORT: "I really thought Pulisic would be a great player for Chelsea when they got him." I expected him to be a top player, but due to injuries, that hasn't happened.
"One thing Raheem has is that he's very durable. Hopefully, he avoids injuries, but he's a very durable player." You can also switch him to the right side to make him more versatile as a player.
"I could see Chelsea trying to get that type of wide man for Tuchel." Why would you not? "Pace always stretches teams, and if you want to be counter-attacking, Raheem is good in counter-attacking teams because he's so devastating with his pace."
