Five Great Players Who Have Never Won The English Premier League

The English Premier League is unquestionably one of the top football leagues in the world, and since its beginning in 1992, we've seen a slew of legendary players who, despite their numerous honors, have failed to win the Premier League trophy.

Steven Gerrard, a former Liverpool player and current Head Coach of Aston Villa's first team, is possibly the biggest figure in the game's history to have concluded his career without winning England's most prestigious title.

Despite coming so close in the 2013/14 season, his notorious mistake against Chelsea saw Liverpool drop out of the title fight, handing Chelsea their fourth Premier League title medal. However, Gerrard is not alone; there are five other players in the Premier League who have never won the title, including several who are presently playing.

Gareth Bale

Gareth Bale, one of the best players in his position, began his career in Southampton before joining Tottenham Hotspur in 2007 after reportedly rejecting a move to Manchester United.

Bale departed Spurs in 2013 for Real Madrid following six years at the club, before returning on loan last year.

Despite his prowess as a striker, the Welshman has never won a Premier League medal, but he still has a chance to do so if he returns to the league before his brilliant career comes to an end.

Luis Suarez

During his tenure at Anfield, he was unquestionably one of the best attackers. Luiz Suarez's name will always divide opinion, as the striker was both a lethal goal scorer and a magnet for controversy during his three and a half years with the Merseyside club.Luiz Suarez scored 92 goals in 110 league appearances for Liverpool, however he never won the title during his time there.

Xabi Alonso

Great passers like Paul Pogba, Javier Mascherano, and Ruud Gullit have all been denied a Premier League medal, but none have had the same impact on their clubs as Xabi Alonso has.The Spaniard won three trophies during his five years with Liverpool: the Champions League, the Super Cup, and the FA Cup. In 2009, he joined Real Madrid, then in 2014, he joined Bayern Munich. In each of these clubs, he was a huge success, and he retired from football in 2017 after winning two Champions Leagues and one FIFA World Cup with his country.

Harry Kane

Harry Kane, the England striker, may still have time to win the Premier League title at the age of 28, but he may have to leave Spurs to do so. Harry Kane, who has 183 goals in 282 games, three EPL golden boots, and one EPL playmaker of the year, might be a significant figure for a title contender. The Spaniard came to an end of his speech. However, the England striker has yet to win a major trophy in his career, and if nothing changes, he will be eager to leave Tottenham.

Paul is without a doubt one of the best midfielders of his time, but it's fair to argue that his best form recently has been with the French national team rather than Manchester United.

Paul Pogba has failed to win a Premier League trophy despite 67 goals and assists in 157 games.
