At the end of last season, Simone Pafundi became the youngest player in Serie A history, generating interest from clubs all across Europe, including Liverpool and Manchester United.
Manchester United and Liverpool are apparently keeping tabs on Udinese wonderkid Simone Pafundi, although Brexit laws may prevent them from doing so.
Pafundi made history as the youngest player in Serie A history at the end of last season, when he made his debut in the season's final match. As a result, the midfielder became the first player born in 2006 to appear in a Premier League match.
And clubs all across Europe are reportedly paying attention to the Italian, with The Sun reporting that the Premier League is particularly interested.Along with Manchester United and Liverpool in the North West, Leicester and Everton are thought to be monitoring his situation.
Jurgen Klopp and Erik ten Hag, on the other hand, appear to be in for a disappointment, with Brexit preventing British clubs from signing European players until they reach 18. Real Madrid and Barcelona, the two biggest clubs in La Liga, could pounce.
Pafundi's tiny size (he's only 5'5") also raises questions about whether he'll ever have the physicality required for the English game ".. Udinese head Gabriele Cioffi has also stated that putting him in at such a young age was a problem, noting that he was not yet at the physical level required.
"He's a really handy lad who's been working with us for four or five months – we didn't want to throw him in too soon," Cioffi revealed.

"He is an undisputed talent - he has the ability to become a top player, like all the kids in the club, such as [Destiny] Udogie and [Lazar] Samardzic," says Simone Pafundi, who made his senior Udinese debut at the conclusion of last season. But they still have a long way to go — they're only getting started."
Cioffi continued: "It's a prize for him [Pafundi], who has been with us for two or three months and is a natural footballer. On a physical level, the only difference between him and the professionals is his size. He possesses both the ability and the drive to succeed. I wanted to give him a few minutes today, but I couldn't."
Meanwhile, with the expected arrival of Benfica striker Darwin Nunez, Liverpool's summer window is about to erupt. The Uruguayan's move to Anfield, which is expected to cost a club record £85.3 million, is set to be finalised this week.

United and its new manager, Ten Hag, have been unable to consummate any deals thus far, with the absence of Champions League games having a significant impact. The Dutchman's top target is Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong,However, the player himself seems hesitant, refusing to discuss the rumors while on international service with the Netherlands.
On Saturday evening, a reporter questioned De Jong, "Are you leaving the Catalan beaches for the cold of Manchester?" De Jong laughed and responded, "No... I can't say anything." Barca has already turned off a £60 million approach for the midfielder, who is now valued at over £70 million.
