Assin North Senior High Technical takes delivery of bus.
The Ministry of Education has provided a 65-seater vehicle to the Assin North Senior High Technical School (ANSHTS) to help with transportation.
The bus will help students and teachers get around on educational tours, field trips, and other social activities.
The ANSHTS was founded in 1985 by six communities: Asempanaye, Danseme, Schiano, Kushea, Praso, and Breman. It is one of the district's less well-equipped schools.
The institution, which has recently been acquired by the government, has roughly 3000 students.
The District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Charles Ohene Andoh, who handed over the vehicle to the school, urged the authorities to take excellent care of it in order to extend its life.
He encouraged the kids to stay away from anti-social activities that could harm their education and to focus on their studies instead.
He said that the Akufo-Addo administration had brought various developmental projects to the school, including a six-unit classroom block from Ghana National Petroleum Company, a 12-unit classroom from Getfund, and two dormitories.
Mr. Andoh agreed to utilize his excellent office to advocate for the school to get a pick-up car.
Mr Frederick Kofi Inkoom, the school's headmaster, thanked the government for the gift, adding it will help the school's academic travels.
Mrs Juliette Otamin, the District Director of Education, said the bus arrived at a good moment to help the school with its transportation issues.
She recommended the authorities to utilize the vehicle sparingly and to maintain it properly.
She praised the school for achieving a perfect score of 99 percent in the 2021 West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
