As the summer transfer window approaches, Manchester United has been connected with Jurrien Timber and Pau Torres.
Jurrien Timber and Pau Torres of Ajax and Villarreal, respectively, would be 'glad' to join Manchester United this summer, according to reports. The Red Devils are banking on Erik ten Hag to help them win the Premier League for the first time since 2013. And, while Frenkie de Jong appears to be their top goal right now, they are still interested in other players.
Three Manchester United defenders could leave this summer, with Eric Bailly, Axel Tuanzebe, and Phil Jones all facing uncertain futures at the club.
As a result, ties to Timber and Torres have grown stronger in recent weeks.
Timber played under Ten Hag at Ajax, and while he is primarily a centre-back, he can also play right-back.
Meanwhile, Torres was on United's radar a year ago, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opted for Raphael Varane instead, with the France international arriving from Real Madrid.
Fabrizio Romano has already told The United Stand that both players would be 'glad' to join the Red Devils.

He informed the channel that "both guys [Pau Torres and Timber] would be pleased to join."
"I envision Pau Torres playing in the Premier League next season because he wants to move and has a decent chance of doing so," he continued.
"Timber is waiting for an update from #MUFC on the Ajax situation."
While Ten Hag may be tempted to attack Ajax, his former club, the Eredivisie giants are adamant on keeping their squad intact.
Timber isn't the only player linked with a move to United as the club prepares for a summer spending spree.

Antony is one among the Red Devils' options, having flourished under Ten Hag in recent years.
Lisandro Martinez has also been linked with a move to United, despite the club's continued hunt for a new centre-back.
It's also possible that United will make a move for Sebastien Haller, who became a prolific scorer under Ten Hag's tutelage.
Torres may become United's tenth acquisition from the Spanish league.
Jordi Cruyff, Quinton Fortune, Ricardo, Gerard Pique, and David De Gea are among the players who have joined United.

When Louis van Gaal was in charge, Ander Herrera, Angel Di Maria, and Victor Valdes were brought in.
Eric Bailly and Varane made their debuts under Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, respectively.
Torres was recently questioned about his Villarreal future.
"I have the peace of mind of knowing that I am where they want me, with a legitimate contract and a renewal offer," he said.
"What occurs in the future will be revealed, but I am peaceful, I am not looking any farther, and it is time to disconnect."
