Darwin Nunez is ready to "give all" after joining Liverpool for £64 million from Benfica.
The Uruguayan has agreed to a six-year deal with the Reds, which is conditional on international clearance and a work permit.
And his arrival is poised to shatter his new club's transfer record, which was set by Virgil van Dijk's £75 million signing from Southampton in 2018.
Nunez's fee might reach £85 million if add-ons are included in, such as how many goals he scores and whether Liverpool win the Champions League.
The newcomer stated: "I'm overjoyed and overjoyed to be here in Liverpool. I'm thrilled to be a part of such a fantastic organization.
"I've played against Liverpool and seen them in a number of Champions League games.
"There are some fantastic players here, and I believe it will be a good fit for my style of play.
"As I mentioned, I've watched a lot of games and I'm hoping to contribute everything I've got to help the squad."
Nunz, who scored 34 goals in 41 games last season, including two against his new club, joins a Reds assault that is already potent.
Jurgen Klopp moved quickly to sign the 22-year-old midfielder, who has been linked with Manchester United and a number of other prominent European clubs.
After championship rivals Manchester City signed superstar striker Erling Haaland earlier this summer, Liverpool fans will be overjoyed to have the goalscorer on their books.
Nunez, who will be wearing the No. 27 shirt at Anfield, went on to say: "When I arrived at the training area, I was astounded by the set-up, structure, and plenty of trophies.
"Then you may envision yourself taking home more prizes. That's one of the reasons I came to Liverpool in the first place: to win trophies and titles. At Liverpool, I hope to win a lot of trophies."
