"Moroccan groups, Wydad [Casablanca] and Berkane won the Champions League and Confederation Cup, yet there was no player of those groups in the public group determination, with the exception of the goalkeeper. I think it tells enough.
"That large number of players are playing in extraordinary European groups, Fiorentina, Sevilla, PSG. We don't have those quality players who are playing in Europe. We can take a gander at the phenomenal run of Sundowns and Pirates in Champions League and Confederation Cup yet Sundowns lost the quarterfinal, Pirates lost the last and who won? Moroccan groups.
"Consequently once more, we should deal with the issue of South Africa and the issue is that the level of our PSL isn't sufficiently high. We don't make players with top caliber."
In his group not having the option to match the landmass' serious weapons and confronting Liberia in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in September, where they need four points to meet all requirements for the finals:
"We should be positive and backing this group, I realize these folks will give their lives to be at the Africa Cup of Nations in the Ivory Coast. I saw that in the last camp. They were inspired and they needed to go as far as possible.
"In any case, on the off chance that you play against a group with a lot a bigger number of characteristics than yourself. You can battle, which we did. We should put stock in the gathering that played against Morocco. I put stock in them.
"I realize we will be roused to win two times against Liberia and it is conceivable. We aren't playing Morocco."
On an absence of groundwork for the lesser public groups inside the South African Football Association:
"I was asking in November [2021], could I at any point see the coaches of the Under-23s, Under-20s and Under-17s, and they told me, 'mentor, we don't have them'. On previous Al Ahly mentor Pitso Mosimane saying there was an absence of correspondence among himself and Broos over Percy Tau's wellness:
