NBA YoungBoy had officially received more RIAA certifications than both Future and J. Cole, it was revealed in February.
YoungBoy has 71 gold-selling singles and four gold-selling albums at the time. He'd also gotten five platinum-selling albums and 38 platinum-selling songs, with 10 of them going multi-platinum. YoungBoy, on the other hand, shattered his own record on Friday (May 13), posting a photo of a big plaque he received from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) to mark his 100 gold and platinum hits. The Baton Rouge lyricist, who is only 22 years old, is one of the youngest artists to accomplish this feat.
YoungBoy's enormous success comes at a time when he still feels underappreciated within his label.
"Everything y'all upload, Atlantic tries to make it appear like I'm talking about them so they can sue me after the time limit expires," he claimed in a voice note posted on Akademiks' Instagram. "Tell them to suck my dick, man." Bitch, just leave me alone. Nobody seems to be talking about you. I despise all of you scumbags. I despise you more than you despise me. "Don't bother with me."
YoungBoy earlier claimed that the major label had blackballed him, preventing his recent mixtape Colors from reaching the top of the Billboard 200.
Why renounce me I'm the hero !!!??" he composed on IG. "I was going #1 two weeks in a row with a mixtape so they removed it from out of this world. I don't care a lot you actually can't stop me don't sign to Atlantic on the off chance that you a craftsman they not gone help you particularly on the off chance that you carry on with a specific way."
NBA YoungBoy is as yet outfitting to drop his new collection The Last Slimeto through Never Broke Again and Atlantic Records on August 5. In April, he dropped 11 melodies from the 30-track project.
