As the out-of-form striker keen to prove his value, Marcus Rashford has described how Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag will make an immediate effect on a struggling club.

Marcus Rashford has encouraged incoming Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag to make an immediate effect and turn the squad around.

Marcus Rashford scored just four Premier League goals for Manchester United last season

United will off their pre-season a week from Monday, July 12, when they face arch-rivals Liverpool in Bangkok as part of their summer tour of Thailand and Australia.

Rashford struggled last season, scoring just five goals in 32 games, and he'll have to persuade Ten Hag of his long-term value after losing his place in United's first squad. But the attacker, who has also lost his England position and is fighting for a place in the World Cup, believes Ten Hag will immediately instill his mentality in United's players.

"It'll be fairly apparent to notice when a team alters its identity and the objective of the football," Rashford remarked. "I think you'll see it towards the start of preseason, when you're trying to get your fitness levels up." You want to relive the thrill of playing in the Premier League."

Following their match against Liverpool, United travel to Melbourne to face Melbourne Victory and Crystal Palace before finishing the Australian part of the journey against Aston Villa in Perth.

Before the start of the new Premier League season on August 6, United will play two additional pre-season friendlies, against Atletico Madrid and Rayo Vallecano from Spain.

Because of the travel restrictions imposed by Covid, Rashford believes United's first pre-season tour since 2019 will be an important part of Ten Hag's rehabilitation. Rashford stated, "We all appreciate getting away and spending that time together." "After being gone from home for so long, the team has become like a second family." We haven't been able to travel as a result of Covid, and we've missed it.

Last season, Marcus Rashford only scored four Premier League goals for Manchester United.

"It's fantastic to be able to travel back to those places since it's usually a huge part of our pre-season." It's crucial for a club like United to play in some of the world's biggest and most popular stadiums, and luckily for us, we'll be able to accomplish just that. For some of us, this will be a new experience, therefore we must accept it and enjoy it."

To impress ten Hag, Rashford, who begins a 10-day individual pre-season training camp in the United States this week, will have to accomplish more than most United players. One of Hag's new coaching staff, former United No. 2 Steve, questioned the 24-year-attitude old's early this year.Former England manager McClaren, who served under Sir Alex Ferguson from 1999 to 2001, was blunt in his assessment of Rashford's poor form earlier this year.

"He's quickly discouraged and doesn't persevere in the face of adversity," McClaren added. "He isn't able to stay in the game." He's not having a good game if he's not playing well. That kind of mentality in a player irritates me. Body language is extremely crucial, but Rashford has likely struggled with questions about his attitude throughout his career. He'll never have a good second half if he doesn't have a nice first half. I just look at him and think he needs some assistance, both on and off the field, and through the management. There's one cornerstone, which we call mindset or attitude, that he hasn't yet mastered."
