THERE ARE TEN PLAYERS FROM THE PREMIER LEAGUE on the Golden Boy 2022 shortlist of 100.
The award is given to Europe's most promising young player, and last year's winner was Barcelona wonderkid Pedri.
Liverpool and Manchester United have both nominated two players.
Fabio Carvalho has made the shortlist after impressing at Fulham
Pape Matar Sarr's performances on loan at Metz have also been praised ahead of his Tottenham return.
This year, ten Premier League wonderkids representing seven clubs are competing for the honor.
Both Harvey Elliott and new acquisition Fabio Carvalho, who both came through the Fulham ranks, are in contention.
Carvalho led Fulham to the Premier League with ten goals and eight assists, but Elliott's promising season was cut short by a devastating ankle injury.
Tottenham's Pape Matar Sarr is another player who has made an impression outside of the Premier League.
After joining Spurs for £15 million last summer, the midfielder returned to Metz on loan and made an immediate impact.
When he returns, he will most certainly aim to make an impression on Antonio Conte, and he might be in line for a first-team spot next season.
Sarr is one of two players from the African Premier League on the shortlist, the other being Manchester United's Amad Diallo.
The Ivory Coast international failed to break into United's first team this season, but he made an impression on loan at Rangers, helping Giovani van Bronkhorst's side win the Scottish Cup.
Anthony Elanga, a United teammate, as well as Wolves' Fabio Silva and former Red Ki-Jana Hoever, have been recognized for their breakout seasons.
Yan Kouto, a Brighton starlet and Manchester City midfielder, has yet to play in the Premier League but has been nominated, as has Leeds' Joe Gelhardt, who scored twice in 2021-22.
Along with Elliott and Jude Bellingham, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, Gelhardt is one of three English players on the list.
Josko Gvardiol of RB Leipzig is another kid on the shortlist who has been linked with a summer transfer.
Chelsea are thought to be interested in the defender, while Brian Brobbey, who played under Erik ten Hag on loan at Ajax this year, wants to join him at United.
