Some furious schools taking care of cooks in the Western Region have picketed at the workplaces of the School Feeding Program Secretariat in Accra, fomenting over the non-installment of monies owed them for planning dinners for students.
They say their monies have been falling behind financially for in excess of three school terms.
The food providers, numbering around 50, are essential for the various cooks across the country who have boycotted cooking until the government pays them for work done.
Last week, cooks in Savannah, Volta, Western North, Oti, Bono, Ahafo, Bono East and North-East areas were supposedly paid by the public authority.
However, addressing Citi News, the cooks who went from the Western Region expressed not a solitary one of them has been paid regardless of their various protests.
