President Joan Laporta, vice-president Rafa Yuste and sporting director Mateu Alemany were present. The player was also accompanied by his parents in this special moment. He has a B team registration and the No 27, even though he could well be in the first team set-up this season. Pablo Torre, 19, had a contract with Racing Santander until 2025 but Barcelona signed him for 5m euros plus variables, which could reach over 20m total.

There will be no media presence at his presentation, as was the case with Sergi Roberto's renewal last week as well, and the club will release photographs and quotes after the event. Barça president Joan Laporta has fixed his agenda to be present at an event that is getting first team treatment, even though the signing was announced by Barça B in March. Laporta will be in Geneva on Tuesday to present an agreement between Barça and ACNUR to provide aid for refugees and will return in time for the presentation of Torre. Torre, who joins from Racing Santander, and his family were only told of the event themselves on Monday. Luckily he was already in Barcelona, looking for a place to live next season.
