The top 11 players in the UEFA Champions League are ranked.

Their football skills are after all highly prized and generously compensated with multi-million dollar contracts here. Naturally, the juicy offers go to the players with better rankings.

Ghanaian football stars compete for more than a thousand clubs throughout Europe for a chance to win a piece of the sport's financial pie.

Eleven Ghanaian footballers competed in the English Premier League for a variety of clubs, and four of them—Kamal Sowah of Club Brugge, Mohammed Kudus of FC Ajax, Edmond Addo of FC Sheriff, and Malik Abubakari of FC Malmo—were able to advance to the recently finished UEFA Champions League.

For the 2022–23 Premier League season, which will begin on August 6, 2022, more of them are lining up.

Although none of the contemporary Ghanaians have joined the elite group of European football greats, the exposure they receive from playing in front of ranked opponents and millions of football fans on worldwide TV and in stadiums throughout Europe makes it worthwhile. All players—local and foreign—are greatly encouraged to succeed by these criteria.

Such a setting enables gifted athletes from Ghana and other nations to try their luck in Europe and gradually work their way up the ranks. The best-known and highest-paid African footballer in Europe to date is 29-year-old Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah. He competes for Liverpool, a Champions League losing finalist.

You could not always agree with the top rank players that have recently been published on a lot of reliable sources. Even if there are only little differences in the rankings, that isn't inherently harmful or unfair. Real Madrid was the slight underdog in the matchup, according to soccer betway, but few people were surprised when Los Blancos ultimately prevailed. It takes place and causes some controversy. However, a list of the finest or worst would be meaningless without controversy. In addition, who has the last say on the finest football player in the world? Or, who is the superior player between Mohamed Salah of Liverpool and Karim Benzema of Real Madrid, or between Lionel Messi of Paris Saint-Germain and Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United?

Can Benzema's role in helping Real Madrid win this year's prestigious UEFA Champions Cup be enough to qualify him as the finest player in the world?

After failing to perform well for Liverpool in the same elite championship, is Salah not good enough? Are Messi and Ronaldo already eliminated from contention?

Messi, Ronaldo, Benzema, and Salah are undoubtedly among the top 10 players this year, but putting them above or below the others will undoubtedly raise more problems than it will resolve.

But Benzema stood out above all others in the context of the Champions League. The 34-year-old French forward, who scored 15 goals for his side to help Real Madrid win the title, was unquestionably the best player.Los Blancos dispelled naysayers with a 1-0 victory over the Reds to win the title, despite being considered the underdog versus Liverpool.

At the completion of the Champions League, Benzema made the crucial difference, firmly placing him at the top of my list of the best 11 players.

Since they are not expected to score, goalkeepers are typically not included on the list. Though Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois stopped opposing attacks and helped the Spanish team win, it was Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr. who scored the game-winning goal. The other athletes on my list are listed below:

Lewandowski, Robert (Bayern Munich)

Mbappe Kylian (Paris Saint-Germain)

Kimmich, Joshua (Bayern Munich)

Nkunku Christopher (RB Leipzig)

Demeble, Ousmane (Barcelona)

Neymar (Paris Saint-Germain)
