Chelsea's Premier League fixtures for next season have been formally revealed, according to the club's website. The timetable has elicited conflicting reactions from fans, with the majority of them being negative.
The forthcoming season will be anything but routine, with the World Cup in Qatar later this year dividing the campaign into two halves.
Chelsea will travel to Merseyside to face Frank Lampard's Everton on the opening weekend of the season. The next game is a significant one at home, against Antonio Conte's Tottenham Hotspur in an early-season London derby.

West Ham and Fulham will meet on consecutive weekends in September, on the 3rd against the Hammers and the 10th against the newly promoted Cottagers. On Bonfire Night, November 5, the Blues will host Arsenal, with the return match at the Emirates set for November 5.
Liverpool will play Chelsea on September 17, right before the season's first international break. The Blues' return leg is scheduled for January 23 at Anfield.
Manchester United's visit to Stamford Bridge is slated for October 22, while Chelsea's visit to Old Trafford is set for April 22, exactly six months later.
Of course, the dates and times of some of these matches may alter based on Chelsea's involvement in other competitions and the broadcasters' wishes.
Manchester City, United's arch-rivals and defending champions, will visit SW6 on January 1 – the first day of the year – while Chelsea's journey to Etihad will be both clubs' penultimate game — on May 20. If both City and Chelsea are in a title battle at the time, this match could very well be the deciding match.
Chelsea supporters on Twitter, on the other hand, appear to be pessimistic. Nobody knows if it's because of the perceived lack of transfer activity or because Chelsea has let players like Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen to depart for free, but the overall reaction has been negative.
