Act on Public Health
The Food and Pharmaceuticals Authority (FDA) in Ghana is mandated by Section 81 of the Public Health Act, 2012 (Act 851) to develop and enforce standards for the sale of food, herbal medicinal goods, cosmetics, drugs, medical equipment, and home chemical substances, among other things.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) appears to be overwhelmed by the indiscriminate marketing and sale of aphrodisiac items in the country since it cannot be everywhere at once.
As a result, both social and conventional media have been advertising numerous sexual enhancers, claiming that the FDA has approved those adverts.
Perhaps the advertisers assert this to fool the public into believing that the advertisement complies with Section 114 (1) of the Public Health Act. "A person shall not advertise a drug, herbal medicinal product, cosmetic, medical device, or household chemical substance as a treatment, preventive, or cure for a disease, disorder, or abnormal physical state to the general public unless the advertisement has been approved by the authority," it says.
The fact that marketers are firmly aware that the FDA would never check the validity of the advertisements placed out there is likely the incentive for this heinous conduct.
Every year, media reports reveal that men are dying as a result of using aphrodisiac products to improve their sexual performance and delight their lovers.
For example, Ghanaweb reported on the death of a 40-year-old man named Albert in a hotel in Pokuase on May 6, 2022.
A search of the deceased's body revealed an aphrodisiac chemical called Dragon Spray in his pocket, indicating that he died after having sexual intercourse with his lover in the hotel while taking an aphrodisiac.
This emphasizes the fact that using non-prescribed aphrodisiacs can be damaging to one's health and could lead to death, especially in people who have underlying health problems.
Remedy
Fortunately, many cases of sexual dysfunction can be resolved by treating the underlying mental or physical issues (s).
As a result, men with any of the sexual dysfunctions are advised to seek medical treatment from a hospital or a trained and certified medical or herbal practitioner.
Let me warn you that there are two ways to get duped. One method is to believe what is untrue, while the other is to refuse to believe what is true.
As a result, don't be tricked by aphrodisiac sellers who sell you a dangerous placebo in the name of a beneficial substance. It is beneficial to live longer on our planet since God does not want us to die early.
