Arsenal are on high alert over Marco Asensio's pay dispute with Real Madrid, which might lead to his summer departure.
MARCO ASENSIO is reportedly considering leaving Real Madrid if he is not granted a greater pay, which has Arsenal on high alert.
The 26-year-old winger's contract at the Bernabeu expires in a year, and clubs are keeping an eye on his position.
Arsenal is thought to have approached the Spaniard's representatives to see whether he would be willing to leave the club.
Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio is said to be a target for Arsenal.
Marca reports that the three-time Champions League winner is willing to leave the club where he has been since 2015.
Though staying at Real is his top objective, he is requesting a compensation boost following his outstanding 2021-22 season.
Only Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr scored more goals than Asensio (12), yet despite his excellent form, he only ranked 15th in terms of minutes played for Los Blancos.
Asensio, who recently acquired Jorge Mendes as his agent, is well aware that he must play frequently in order to be considered for Luis Enrique's World Cup squad.
If he chooses to leave Real this summer, the LaLiga champions will demand a fee of around £34 million.
Mikel Arteta, according to the Spanish news outlet, is a major fan of Asensio and would be eager to negotiate for him if he were available.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that AC Milan and Juventus are also interested in acquiring his services.
"I am searching for regularity," Asensio said recently when asked about his future plans.
"I'd like it for the next few years since confidence is vital to me."
"I believe that regularity is achievable in Madrid."
"Renewal or departure from Real Madrid? I believe there are three options available to me, including staying and completing my contract year."
"We'll see what I do with my future," he continued.
