Star has agreed to terms worth £54.6 million to protect Liverpool's departure

Liverpool confirmed Darwin Nunez's arrival yesterday, and reports suggest Sadio Mane is on his way to Bayern Munich.

The Senegalese international has been one of the most important members of Jurgen Klopp's Reds squad, and his departure will be felt.

According to 90min, Mane has agreed to a contract with the Bavarians that will pay him £350,000 per week for the next three years, totaling £54.6 million.

According to Graeme Bailey, Liverpool and the Bundesliga giants are confident that the deal will go through. However, if the asking price is not met, the Reds are willing to keep the former Saints man at Anfield.

According to David Maddock, the Merseysiders could recoup a large portion of their investment in Nunez by selling Mane. Negotiations are taking place, and a deal worth £42 million is getting closer.

The 30-year-old joined Liverpool in 2016, spent his first season on the right wing, and was named Player of the Year. Salah was brilliant on the right flank a year later, and Mane was brilliant on the left flank.

The Reds completed the signing of Luis Diaz during the winter transfer window; his arrival moved Mane to the central position, which the Senegalese has made his own.

The ex-Salzburg man won the African Cup of Nations earlier this year and was named Player of the Tournament.

He was arguably our best attacking player in the second half of the season after returning from the competition.

Mane was directly responsible for 10 goals in 13 league starts. Furthermore, he scored crucial goals in the Champions League quarter/semi-finals to help us reach the final. The fans will love him if he stays, but if he does leave, they will wish him the best.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, talks between Bayern Munich, Sadio Mane, and Liverpool are nearing completion, and the Senegalese attacker should begin packing his belongings for Bavaria.

Mane and Bayern Munich have reached a "full verbal agreement" on personal terms, according to Romano, which includes a three-year contract. Moreover, According to Romano, Bayern Munich is about to submit its latest bid to Liverpool, but it remains to be seen whether the English powerhouse will accept it — or if it will continue to play hardball with the Rekordmeister.

In any case, Romano insists that things are "really close now"
