According to rumours in Italy, Tottenham Hotspur are dead set on signing Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez and will make a £77 million bid soon.
The Italian club may sacrifice the Argentina international this summer in order to earn a profit on the transfer market.
Romelu Lukaku's loan return is still being negotiated, while the Nerazzurri are also in talks to sign Paulo Dybala on a free transfer.
Martinez, according to Alfredo Pedulla, intends to stay in Milan, as evidenced by the fact that he recently bought a restaurant there.
Antonio Conte, on the other hand, wants to reunite with his previous team, and Spurs are set to make a €90 million (£77 million) move for the Argentina international.
The Inter hierarchy is expected to generate a profit of roughly €60 million in the summer transfer window, which could result in one of their big-name players leaving.
Exits have also been linked to Milan Skriniar, Alessandro Bastoni, Denzel Dumfries, and Nicolo Barella.
Martinez has been a vital player for Inter in recent seasons, forming a lethal relationship with Lukaku when the club won the Serie A title in 2020/21 under Conte.
The 24-year-old had his best productive season of his career in 2021/22, scoring 21 league goals, but Inter's attack would be bloated with the additions of Lukaku and Dybala.
Edin Dzeko, Joaquin Correa, Alexis Sanchez, and Andrea Pinamonti, who is back on loan, are still on the books, and there won't be enough room for them all.
