Despite a strong start that included Europa League and League Cup victories, Mourinho was fired by Manchester United in December 2018, and his relationship with Pogba was frequently questioned.
Pogba had a promising start to the 2017/18 season, scoring two goals and providing two assists in his first four Premier League games before suffering a thigh injury that sidelined him for two months, and the midfielder has now explained how the situation deteriorated.
""It started when I got hurt," he says in Pogmentary, his latest Amazon Prime documentary. "I stated that I would be travelling to Miami for recovery. Zulay [Pogba's partner] and I were photographed by a paparazzi.
"Jose forwarded the photo to Mino [Raiola]." That did not sit well with me. When we're working like [EXPLETIVE], he claims he's on vacation.
"'Are you serious?' I asked Mourinho. I've been hurt. Here, I train three times a day. 'Who do you think you're talking to?'
"I'd never had a problem with my coach before."
In his new documentary, Pogba makes no apologies for criticizing United for not offering him a new deal sooner.
Pogba is ready to join Juventus for the second time in his career after leaving the club on a free transfer.
