Due to their international commitments, a number of first-team players were denied an extended holiday at the end of the season. This meant Nations League action for Ronaldo, which included a two-goal performance in Portugal's 4-0 triumph against Switzerland.

Ronaldo and his family had a 10-day vacation to Majorca, flying there in a private plane. They are living at a remote luxury villa, according to The Sun, with the footballer shipping over his £8.5 million Bugatti and a Mercedes SUV.
The 37-year-old, as well as his partner, have been posting images from the vacation on social media. 'Vacation with love!' reads one of the photos, which shows Ronaldo and his family seated around a dining table.
Meanwhile, Rodriguez shared a gallery of images from the private plane. The caption just says, 'My life.'

When Ronaldo returns to Manchester, he and his teammates will have a hectic few weeks ahead of them until the new season begins in early August. The former Real Madrid great was named United's player of the year by the club's supporters, but he reflected on a "very difficult" season in which the Red Devils finished outside the top four.

Ronaldo is in Majorca for a few days before heading to the United States for pre-season.
After a sixth-place finish last season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick, new manager Ten Hag will try to get United back into the Champions League spots. The former Ajax manager arrived in England before of the final game of the 2021-22 season, having recognized the magnitude of the task ahead of him, and has already expressed his thoughts.
In an email to United's players, Ten Hag stated that no single individual is more essential than the squad. According to The Sun, he also expects his players' fitness levels to be 'the finest they have ever been,' implying a hectic pre-season ahead.
United will open the 2022-23 season against Brighton at Old Trafford, with a chance to revenge a 4-0 loss to the Seagulls in May under Rangnick. On August 20, they will face a rival 'Big Six' team, Liverpool, who will visit Old Trafford after winning the equivalent encounter 5-0 last season.
