If we had a good coach, Inaki, Odoi, and Benjamin Tetteh wouldn’t be in the Black Stars – Songo
Controversial sports journalist Patrick Osei Agyemang, popularly known as Countryman Songo, feels that if the Black Stars had a good coach in charge, they would have better players than Inaki Williams, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Benjamin Tetteh.
According to the sports presenter, if the best coach for the national team had been hired, the Black Stars would have been dominated by local players.
Safiu Mudasiru, Moro Ibrahim, and Abdul Ganiyu of Asante Kotoko should have been selected for Black Stars matches instead of players of Ghanaian heritage, according to him.
"If we had a good Black Stars coach, Mudasiru, Moro Ibrahim, Ganiyu, and others would be playing for the Black Stars by now," Songo stated. "Not Inaki Williams, Odoi, Benjamin Tetteh, and the rest, who are bench warmers at their clubs."
Countryman Songo has been a vocal critic of the Ghana Football Association and the Black Stars.
The Black Stars have been assigned to Group H of the 2022 World Cup, where they will compete against Uruguay, South Korea, and Portugal.

Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, the Black Stars' assistant coach, has revealed why goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad was unable to join the team for the 2022 Kirin Cup in Qatar.
Ibrahim Danlad was invited to join the Black Stars for the Kirin Cup in Qatar in 2022 to replace injured Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori, but he declined.
Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has stated that it was Asante Kotoko who blocked the player from departing at a key juncture in their Ghana Premier League season, despite rumours that the player had turned down the call-up.
"I'm not going to say anything about it." When you bring it up, I believe they will bring it up as a fact. We recognized the importance of thinking about local productions, which is why we have Barnieh and Dennis Korsah; and in the future, we hope to see how players might have this opportunity as they would at any other time.
