Barcelona and Real Madrid competing For Enzo Boyomo
Barcelona and Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Enzo Boyomo, a 20-year-old French defender from Albacete, this summer.
According to Cazurreando, Enzo Boyomo could join a big club in Spain during the summer transfer window. Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Villarreal are all interested in signing the 20-year-old defender, whose time at Albacete may be coming to an end.
Flavien Enzo Thiedort Boyomo grew up in his native France, rising through the ranks at Toulouse before finishing his youth career at Blackburn Rovers. The 20-year-old made his professional debut at Albacete, a club he joined from Blackburn in September 2020.
While the French defender began his career with Albacete's reserve team before playing a key role in Queso Mecanico's promotion-clinching season. Boyomo appeared 29 times for Albacete, propelling them to the Segunda Division. And his exploits have piqued the interest of three of La Liga's most powerful clubs: Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Villarreal.
Arnau Comas will almost certainly leave Barcelona during the summer transfer window, joining FC Basel. Comas' departure would leave Barcelona B lacking in defensive quality, which Boyomo could fill if he joins from Albacete ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The Catalan giants are also considering other options, with Martin Georgiev emerging as a possible target. In terms of the race to sign Boyomo, Barcelona will have to compete with archrival Real Madrid for the services of the 20-year-old French defender.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid may loan out Victor Chust for the second summer transfer window in a row. The 22-year-old has emerged as a target for several Spanish clubs, with Sevilla reportedly keen to sign him. Boyomo is thus a viable target for Real Madrid in order to bolster Castilla's defensive unit.
Boyomo is also wanted by Villarreal, in addition to Barcelona and Real Madrid. The 20-year-old French international will most likely join the reserve teams of the three La Liga giants if he joins any club from Albacete during the summer transfer window.
