Report: Tottenham will now push to sign 'magnificent' South American star after sealing Bissouma deal

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to press on with the signing of Brazilian striker Richarlison, following their £25m capture of Yves Bissouma this week. Fabio Paratici struck gold in his search for a new midfielder as he landed the Brighton star. Bissouma has been tracked heavily by a number of Premier League teams after becoming a key figure in Graham Potter’s XI. However, Tottenham are not done there and according to The Mirror, they will now look to push on with the signing of Richarlison for around £50m. There is a belief within the league that Everton would sell Richarlison for the right price, with Spurs one of the teams who would be willing to spend. Photo by Kenta Harada/Getty Images Top Scoring XI This Season (2021-22) Reports have claimed Richarlison is also open to a move within the Premier League, although it is Tottenham who are ahead of Arsenal in his thinking. Everton are under pressure to sell one of their big names this summer after falling into trouble when it comes to their spending. The Toffees narrowly avoided relegation, and need money into the club before they can back Frank Lampard with any meaningful sort of budget this summer. While Spurs do hold an abundance of attacking talent with the likes of Kane, Son, Lucas, and Kulusevski, there is still that gap when one of the big hitters is missing. Richarlison could be the man to fill it. Yes, he’ll want to be a starter every week if he does leave Everton. But that will be down to him to force his way into the Tottenham XI, which is getting stronger by the week at the moment. Spurs’ summer has started well, you have to say. And if they can land Richarlison as well, then it could well be a fine season under Conte once more. Have something to tell us about this article?

Pundit explains why Yves Bissouma signing is ‘extra sweet’ for Tottenham, with Antonio Conte to thank

Jamie O’Hara has revealed why the capture of Yves Bissouma is ‘extra sweet’ for Tottenham, while the pundit also hailed Antonio Conte for his part in the move. On Tuesday, Tottenham agreed a fee with Brighton to sign the central midfielder. They will pay just £25million – a relative steal in today’s market – as Bissouma will soon enter the final 12 months of his Brighton contract. The move is likely to go through this week, with Bissouma currently preparing to travel to London and sign his Tottenham terms. It will last for several years, although the exact details of the contract are yet to emerge. Arsenal and Aston Villa have previously been on Bissouma’s trail. But Spurs have won the race for his signature, continuing their impressive summer window. Conte’s side have already brought in Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster, both on free transfers. Therefore, Bissouma will become their third senior capture and the first they have paid money for. O’Hara, who made 56 appearances for Spurs, has revealed why the Bissouma deal is ‘extra sweet’ for the club. He also spoke about the ‘Antonio Conte factor’, which is helping them to complete such good transfers.
