Undoubtedly, Joseph Luke Wallacott has been the best goalkeeper for his club and the Black Stars of Ghana. Ever since he made his appearance for the Ghana National Team he has been fantastic and he deserves every award that is in Africa.His immense contributions to the Black Stars have gained him two nominations in the Ghana football awards.
The Ghana Football Awards have released the nominations for the various award categories and Jojo Wallacott was highly honoured. The Swindon Town goalkeeper got nominated into two award categories.
He was nominated for the Goalkeeper Of The Year Awards, battling with Danlad Ibrahim and Iddrisu Adbdulai. This category is for a fact going to be a tough one. Because Danlad Ibrahim has helped Kotoko to win the league and Iddrisu Adbdulai has also been fantastic with Becham United.
And on the other hand he was also nominated for the Footballer of The Year Award. He will be competing with the likes of Thomas Partey, Alexander Djiku, Daniel Amartey and Mohammed Salisu for the award.

The former Asante Kotoko who has capped twice for the Black Stars under former coach Charles Akonnor has failed to earn a spot in the team under both former manager Milovan Rajevac and current boss Otto Addo.However, the 23-year old who is confident of a return to the team anytime soon, says he would start ahead of incoming Ghana striker Inaki Williams and any other striker when fit.
”I’m the next Jordan Ayew in the Black Stars squad. If I am fit, I will start ahead of Inaki Williams and other striker,” the USM Alger striker told Accra-based Atinka FM.
