Following reports linking him with a move to Chelsea once he departs Barcelona this summer, Ousmane Dembele has broken his quiet.

After joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2017, the 25-year-old is expected to leave the Nou Camp when his contract ends in the coming weeks.

As a result of his departure, clubs will be allowed to sign him on a free transfer for next season, with Chelsea being one of the clubs interested.

Dembele has already worked with Thomas Tuchel, having spent a season at Dortmund together before both departing five years ago.

However, as clubs enter the summer transfer market and speculation about where he will play next season abounds, the winger has remained defiant.

During the week, the Frenchman was seen in public in a film by Actualite-Barca and was asked about his future ahead of the new campaign.

When asked if he planned to stay in Barcelona, he said yes.

When asked about working with Tuchel again after the rumors about him and Chelsea were brought up, the 25-year-old spoke very little about the rumors and reiterated that he was staying for the time being.

According to reports on Friday, the winger is deferring a decision on his future until after his vacation, despite his impending exit from his present club.

Chelsea are seen to have an advantage in the hunt for Dembele this summer due to his previous working relationship with the Blues boss, despite Paris Saint-Germain also being linked with a bid for the forward.

Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele will play against Villarreal.

After seeing him contribute 31 goals for Dortmund during the 2016/17 season, the German boss is 'convinced' that he would be able to bring the best out of the player if he moves to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea is also said to be 'gaining confidence' in their pursuit of Dembele as they prepare for next season's Premier League title challenge.

After only one season back at Stamford Bridge, Romelu Lukaku could be on his way out in the summer, with a return to Inter Milan on the cards.

A traditional loan was explored at first, but it is now seen to be improbable, with Chelsea preferring a swap agreement.
