Mason jailed 3 years for stealing tool box.
A 26-year-old bricklayer, Richard Oppong, has been given a three-year prison term by a Dormaa Ahenkro Circuit Court for taking a tool kit, water siphon machine and a vehicle battery.
Oppong confessed and was sentenced on his own supplication on two counts of taking.
Introducing current realities of the case, Inspector Emmanuel Asare, told the court managed by Mr Samuel Djanie Kotey that the complainants for the situation are inhabitants of Dormaa Ahenkro whiles the charged individual is a bricklayer living at Ahantrase, a suburb of Dormaa Ahenkro.
He expressed that on 14/06/22 at around 9am, the complainant Salifu Adam distinguished robbery of his devices box which contains different apparatuses like utilize box spinner, 13 ring, HL, N ring spinner, 10 level, star screw driver, amalgam key and saw edge which he uses to fix engine bicycles and tricycles.
The Prosecutor showed that the complainant along with an observer for this situation had captured and carried the charged individual to the Police station with a report that, Oppong boarded the observer Bajaj tricycle and on arriving at a segment of the street, he entered a close by shrub and drew out a tool kit and a sack which are thought to be taken.
"The observer after seeing this made an impression on the complainant who had informed him about his missing tool kit. Later at the station another complainant, James Kofi Tawiah additionally revealed burglary of his water siphon machine and vehicle battery which occurred in a similar area, " he added.
Monitor Asare said further that the suspect was subsequently grilled and had driven Police to recover the complainant's things as well as different booties.
