On Saturday afternoon, Manchester United CEO Richard Arnold met with a group of fans to discuss a variety of themes related to the club.

According to Joe.co.uk, a group of supporters planned to protest outside Arnold's home in Cheshire.

However, after learning of their plan, Arnold opted to meet them in the pub instead.

A few videos of the encounter have surfaced on the internet. Below is a breakdown of some of the topics covered...

Regarding a possible De Jong transfer

It's no secret that United wants to sign Barcelona's Frenkie De Jong this summer. They want to make a deal, according to Arnold.

"He stated Murtough is working from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. trying to get the De Jong transaction done," a member of the group who spoke to Arnold told Joe.co.uk. There is £200 million available for transfers. He wasn't going to allow any additional targets get away.

De Jong's fans want to know if he's finished.

During the 2021/22 season, United had an issue with unfavorable reports being leaked to the media from the dressing room.

Joe.co.uk reports that he told the club, "The two sources of the leaks have now departed the club.

The club's recent transfer strategy is slammed.

When it came to analyzing United's transfer strategy in the past, Arnold was brutally honest.

"We've been set ablaze.

I'm not happy with where we're at; it doesn't sit well with me, and we need to fix it.

"You can't come to our training grounds and say,'show me where that billion pounds is,'" she says. I don't believe we've done a good job with the money we've spent in the past. We've squandered a significant sum of money.

Concerning a financial emergency

Arnold stated that he needed more money to run his business the way he wanted.

"For the future, for investing in a new stadium and that type of thing, for a £250 million training ground, we've got to do something, we've got to bring investors in," he stated, according to the Sun.

"I need that to do what I want for the club - I need more money than I currently have.

On the Glazers and the 2021/22 season, Arnold commented on the supporters' hate of the Glazers as well as a 'horror' 2021/22 season.

"I can't help it if you don't like our current proprietors. However, if you want someone else to come in, they will notice how much the fans adore the team.
